Cuesta Park, at the corner of Cuesta Dr. and Grant Road, has 32 acres and is the second largest park in Mountain View after Shoreline.
Cuesta Park was built in the 1960s on a former orchard and is known for being beautifully-designed and landscaped with lit tennis courts, a tennis center, outdoor volleyball courts, horseshoe area, outdoor volleyball courts, BBQ areas, and picnic areas. Never fear because those looking for shade will have plenty of it under the tall, mature trees. The park’s playground area is large with a wide variety of new equipment and was voted the Best Playground in Silicon Valley in a 2002 Mercury News rating. The gentle rolling hills make the park even more exciting for kids and families to ride bikes or roller skate. The play area is not only well-paved, but it also sits under a canopy of pine trees.
At the south end of the park are the YMCA and the El Camino Hospital. The hospital facility has served the Silicon Valley since September 1961 and recently the hospital's Chest Pain Center became the first of its kinds in the South Bay area.
